Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Found ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Found is designed for queer women, non-binary, and trans people 21 and older.

What we collect

When you create a Found account, we collect information you provide directly: your name, age, email address, photos, bio, and the preferences you set during onboarding. When you use the app, we may collect usage data such as which events you view, swipe activity (stored locally on your device), and approximate location when you grant permission for event features. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.

How we use it

We use your information to operate Found — to show you relevant events, enable matching and messaging, and improve the experience. Your age is used to verify you meet our 21+ minimum. Your location is used only when you explicitly check in to an event; it is not tracked in the background.

Who can see your profile

Your profile (name, age, pronouns, identity, bio, and interests) is visible to other verified Found members at events you both attend or RSVP to. Your email address is never shown to other users. Your Instagram handle is only shared when you mutually match with another user.

Third-party services

Found uses Apple's in-app purchase system for payment processing. Your payment information is handled directly by Apple and is never stored on our servers. We use Ticketmaster's API to surface relevant local events — this is a read-only integration and no personal data is shared with them.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, messages, and associated data are permanently deleted within 30 days. Some anonymized, non-identifiable data (e.g. aggregate usage statistics) may be retained for product improvement.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account directly in the app under Profile → Delete Account. For data requests or questions not handled in-app, contact us at privacy@foundherdating.com. If you are in California, you have additional rights under the CCPA. If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under the GDPR including the right to erasure, portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children & age requirements

Found is strictly for adults aged 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we become aware that a user is under 21, their account will be immediately terminated and their data deleted. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at safety@foundherdating.com.

Push notifications

Found may send push notifications for new matches, messages, and event reminders. You can manage notification preferences in Profile → Notification Settings, or through your device's system settings at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll notify you via in-app notice and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Found after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
